I've been noticing the difference between 1st and 2nd graders. What a contrast! It is a joy to see how mature these kids have become. It is especially apparent during the mornings. Second graders come in and put away their things, then check to see what their morning work is. They are able to settle down and complete the tasks with very little teacher management. This morning there were a variety of activities: sewing, reading, writing and math, all going on at the same time. Look how well they attend to their work. Bravo!
