Egypt Experiments!

The 2nd grade Egypt experiments have begun!  Our first experiment is designed to see just how so many things (including mummies) were preserved from ancient Egypt.  The question for our experiment was "Will fruit be preserved longer in sand, air or soil?  The students had all kinds of interesting predictions; "I think soil will work best since things grow in soil." "I think sand will work best since it will dry the fruit out." "I think air will work best because sand and soil will make bacteria grow."  Watch for the results of this experiment in a few weeks.
