Las vocales

This week we dedicated our time to reviewing the vowels in Spanish through coloring, naming animals that begin with each letter, as well as singing and marching a popular children's song calledLa Marcha de las Vocales.

I also introduced the students to a song/game called La Víbora de la Mar... it's best if you let them explain to you what the games is all about.. I actually showed them the version I learned as a kid, but the link above is close to what we have played in class.

Rainbow: the colors in Spanish
We will review the vowels next week with La Marcha de las Vocales and continue playing La Víbora de la Mar (they couldn't have enough of it this week!).

Since they had the book fair today, we read a book about titled, "Silencio en la Biblioteca" (Silence in the Library). It teaches them about how to behave when visiting a library as well as the names of farm animals.

The photos here are from previous classes (long due!)
