Adventures in Orchestration

After engaging in a organized dance using movement and scarves, our second graders utilized their creative ideas to orchestrate our piece, "Must Be Halloween."  Sebastian suggested using the conga drum to play the rhythm of the words.  Jared suggested using the bongo drums.  Gennie recommended closing the piece with the Chimes.

Cameron, Alejandro, and Jenna begin the circle.

 Everyone has a scarf!

A steady chord bordun on the Bass Metallophone and Bass Xylophone!

We added the congo and temple blocks to play the rhythm of the words.

Contra Bass Bars!

 Let's add the bongos!
