Create the Nile!

This week, we started the Nile River Valley Model project.  This project requires tons of cooperation since there are so many steps to set up the model!  First the student had to construct the river from paper towel tubes and aluminum foil.  Next they added sand and soil.  After that they "planted" grass and flower seeds. They filled the river with water and watched the water "flood" the areas around the river just like the real Nile floods.  Watch for the results of this interesting project at Egypt Night and Science Night!
